Dr. Delaney Smith, the current President of the Midwest Chapter of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, is a board certified psychiatrist practicing in Columbus, Ohio. She is an Adjunct Professor at the Ohio State University College of Law and the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Psychiatry department. She serves as program director for OSU’s forensic fellowship. She also practices in the maximum security forensic state hospital, Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare, as well as providing addiction treatment at Columbus Springs, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation at Lapis Healthcare, and serving as the medical director of the Franklin County Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board.
Dr. Smith earned her medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2002 where she continued on to complete her psychiatric training, followed by a fellowship in forensic psychiatry from Case Western Reserve University. She has since completed a community psychiatry fellowship also at Case Western Reserve University.
